Celebrating Meat Loaf Tempe Concert reviews
hate to say it, but it wasn't quite loud enough
A few words switched and rearranged sentences:
"It was the typical Celebrating Meat Loaf show, but it didn't get the crowd response like it does when he says it in Kalamazoo. I saw Celebrating Meat Loaf there about 2 or 3 years ago and it was quite a bit louder at that show. My only thought was maybe people complained it was too loud at his previous show there so maybe they had him keep the volume lower? So much so that my hearing was screwed up for about 3 weeks after the show. But for the "seasoned professional," it was a bit low on the volume. I enjoyed the show, but I was expecting the "ear-splitting" volume like the last time he played the theatre, but it just wasn't anywhere near that loud. His bass player is great and he's worked with a lot of bands. He did play "good friends and a bottle of wine," which I hadn't heard him play in a long time (I actually don't remember him playing it at all). He played Crave, which I hadn't heard before, but he rocked it pretty good. The drummer, I think, is only 22, but Ted thinks he's God's gift to the drumming world, so he's probably pretty good. I was going to go to the ear doctor, and then I woke up one morning, and my hearing was back to normal. He did say he plays a Gibson guitar made in Kalamazoo, Michigan (which is where I'm from)."
